QiSoftware & Collusion

I recently wrote an entry about theft and collusion as related to my software consultancy-- QiSoftware.

The entry is posted on my personal blog where I normally discuss legal issues related to QiSoftware.

The post is found here.

Contact the FBI if you believe you have purchased software or services from QiSoftware.

More WiredPages Advertising Options

Example of how the automobile dealership interface [car ads] could be integrated on the Style & Events Page [lower half of the page]. This is an illustration only.

I promote the Style & Events page [along with several others on WiredPages] quite a bit. The page-- demonstrates several of my software tools and advertisers can also reap the benefits of those promotions.

Pricing? The interface [which automatically selects 4 random cars and updates when the visitor selects the more button], the hosting: hosting-q.com-- which has a 99.98% uptime], and that ad space-- $250.00 a month.

I think it would be an excellent space for a local dealer with a good pre-owned inventory. The interface can be adapted to use any auto inventory management site.

Finding Local Business via Social Media...

There are a myriad of social networks that might also help business owners find new audiences.

For example-- I am the Facebook organizer for my high school alumni group. My high school-- Arundel Sr. High, was one of the largest in the state and since starting the group [November 12, '08], it has grown to 1220 members.

Looking for great deals on Pre-Owned Cars?

Recently, I developed an interface [illustration only] that uses getauto.com to provide inventory data for specific dealers. My association with the alumni group, as well as my online line news service [WiredPages] and blogs-- may offer local advertisers a reason to use my custom interfaces to get their products to the local market.

The Internet is still young [relatively speaking] and ways to exploit this medium are just being discovered and researched. I started the group -- because I want an "open" online presence for me and my business. Early on, I developed several innovative tools [e.g., Blogger Calendar & Technorati Blog Ranking Tool] which are known in the blogging community. I want to ensure QiSoftware and Regina Thomas are known for these developments. My high school alumni group, which did not exist on Facebook at the time, seemed like a good way to ensure I keep mistaken identity issues at a minimum.

Can I parlay this association into local advertising sales? Not sure. I also have to be careful not to exploit the association. That said-- all members can use the group for the same type of promotion as long as it is not too obnoxious nor irritating.

Coming up with new ways to use the many-- as yet undiscovered facets of the Internet-- to marry business, technology, advertising and common sense is something I love doing.

Does your Facebook High School or College Alumni Group exist? Are you still in the area? In business? What are you waiting for?

Small Business Conference-- September in Washington, DC

I would like to attend this Small Business Conference, in Washington, DC, on September 29, 2009-- but cannot justify the cost-- in that I currently have communications issues.

I am still weighing the benefits- but feel other small business owners, especially from the area-- should consider attending.

Business Directory Advertising on WiredPages

I am thinking of adding an interface to the WiredPages Business page that would provide business profile listings associated with the ProfessionalProfiles service.

The interface would work in a manner similar to the FashionFinds interface on the lower Style & Events page.

Though I promote the ProfessionalProfiles service quite a bit-- I am not getting the response in terms of profile registrations I had hoped for.

That being the case, I am also looking into partnering with local business directories and using their more robust listings [as delimited text files that they would provide periodically] as the source of the business profiles-- I would promote via WiredPages. Of course, clicking on summaries or links on the interface would return to the source partner.

Everyone is talking about doing business closer to home these days. I am finding audiences but not finding those that want to list directly. Partnering with a well established local business directory might be a good solution for both the local economy as well as another way for me to showcase my talents insofar as coming up with new ways to promote and advertise online.

Why would I want to keep it local? I do have a large audience in both the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas and because the data will only show 1 or up to 3 listings at a time-- I want to keep it to a regional type service rather than a more global service that may have hundreds or thousands of listings.

If you have a business directory and would like to learn more-- use this contact form.

Business Line Issues Resolved

I reported here-- I was having problems with my business line. Those issues have now been resolved.

That said, I believe my business communications are interfered with so be careful with whom you think you are speaking to.

I am a sole business owner and run QiSoftware and Hosting-Q. I do not outsource any of my business dealings or work and have no affiliation with the US Government, local US governments [city/state], US Military nor foreign interests and/or governments.

I am a sole proprietor with one employee [myself]. If you believe you have been defrauded as related to QiSoftware or Hosting-Q-- contact the FBI. Not even the US Military should be interfering in my business.
